Single versus multiple cavities
A single cavity simplifies trials and revisions; multiple cavities can increase output per cycle. Filling time, balanced distribution and the impact of a defective cavity also matter. Compare labour and cycle time per accepted part rather than mould price alone.
Product-specific checks
Design the inner core, drainage opening and base thickness together. A thin rim can break during demoulding; inspect rim integrity, upright stability and drainage on the first casting. Follow the concrete supplier's mixing and curing instructions.
Application and sample checks
Define finished dimensions, casting material and critical surfaces first. Record production variables and reassess approval whenever the material or master changes; an earlier sample does not automatically validate a revised process.
