This page brings together the most frequently asked questions about silicone moulds, RTV-2 moulds, custom master models and decorative casting products. Clarifying key information such as dimensions, material and intended use before ordering makes it easier to choose the right Product and understand the custom-production process.
What does 3D KALIP produce?
3D KALIP prepares master models and plastic mould parts suitable for RTV silicone replication for candles, ceramics, planters, epoxy, scented stone, concrete and decorative objects. The aim is not only to create a visual Form, but to build a mould base that releases cleanly during casting, holds its dimensions and supports repeat production.
Can you work with custom dimensions or a custom design?
Yes. We can assess a project when you share the dimensions, intended use, release direction, material, target quantity and any reference image. Custom designs follow a different process from standard ready-made products, so the dimensions and intended use should be clarified before ordering.
Which materials can the products be used with?
Depending on the Product type, solutions can be used with concrete, stone powder, plaster, epoxy, candles, ceramic clay and similar decorative casting materials. Every Form may not produce the same result with every material, so surface detail, mould depth, wall thickness and release direction should be considered together when choosing the material.
What information should I provide before ordering?
The mould approach can be planned more accurately when you share the dimensions, intended material, production quantity, use case, any reference image and expected delivery schedule. This is especially important for custom moulds, where even small dimensional differences can affect the result.
How do returns work for custom-made products?
Return terms for parts made for a specific person or project differ from those for standard stock products. The customer-approved dimensions, custom Form, personalisation and production plan Form the basis of the order. For this reason, return and exchange terms for custom-made work should be reviewed clearly before ordering.
Why is a master model important for an RTV silicone mould?
The master model surface, release direction and dimensional balance directly affect silicone mould quality. A rough, undercut or poorly planned master model can cause difficult release, surface marks or loss of Form. This is why 3D KALIP considers master-model preparation the most critical step in the mould process.
How does the delivery process work?
For ready-made products, stock and shipping follow the Product status. For products requiring custom production or a production plan, the timing may vary according to the dimensions, design complexity, printing and preparation stages. After ordering, the customer is informed about production and delivery.
