Avoid sharp tools that can tear the mould when removing residue. Select cleaners according to the mould supplier's guidance instead of assuming solvents are safe. Dry and store without deformation, and inspect for tears, swelling and tackiness before each cycle.
Product-specific checks
Wide flat castings need attention to warping, base flatness and rim stiffness. Support the mould on a level surface and check the finished part on a flat reference. Decorative tray production does not establish food-contact suitability; verify material and coating documentation separately.
Application and sample checks
Define finished dimensions, casting material and critical surfaces first. Record production variables and reassess approval whenever the material or master changes; an earlier sample does not automatically validate a revised process.
