Revising dimensions
Determine whether deviation comes from the master, mould deformation or casting shrinkage. Measure several samples from consistent references before rescaling the entire model. Mark revised dimensions and tolerances in the file and withdraw the superseded version from production.
Product-specific checks
Check intersecting corners, symmetry and reference dimensions together. Sharp corners can trap air, and undercut faces may prevent one-piece release. Inspect opposing face angles and alignment on the approval sample as well as its silhouette.
Application and sample checks
Define finished dimensions, casting material and critical surfaces first. Record production variables and reassess approval whenever the material or master changes; an earlier sample does not automatically validate a revised process.
