Dimensions and sizing
External product size, usable internal space and overall mould size are different. State reference faces, units and critical tolerances in the drawing. For tapered or curved volumes include depth and base sections as well as the opening, then verify finished dimensions on a sample.
Product-specific checks
Check intersecting corners, symmetry and reference dimensions together. Sharp corners can trap air, and undercut faces may prevent one-piece release. Inspect opposing face angles and alignment on the approval sample as well as its silhouette.
Application and sample checks
Define finished dimensions, casting material and critical surfaces first. Record production variables and reassess approval whenever the material or master changes; an earlier sample does not automatically validate a revised process.
