Sanding the surface
Use progressive sanding to reduce layer marks while preserving corners and relief. Removing too much material locally changes dimensions and symmetry. Follow material safety guidance for dust control, then inspect the cleaned surface under raking light and recheck reference dimensions.
Product-specific checks
Compare internal compartment dimensions with the actual objects to be stored. Narrow deep pockets can trap air, while thin partitions can be stressed during release. Check access to each pocket, the bottom finish and partition strength on the sample.
Application and sample checks
Define finished dimensions, casting material and critical surfaces first. Record production variables and reassess approval whenever the material or master changes; an earlier sample does not automatically validate a revised process.
