A recess or projection opposing the release direction creates an undercut. Consider split construction, a removable core or a revised parting line instead of simply pulling harder on flexible material. Show how the deepest locking feature releases and verify it in a trial.
Product-specific checks
Size ring slots, hanging projections and contact edges around the intended jewellery. Thin hooks can create undercuts and fragile sections. Test the sample for sharp flash, tipping and everyday access before approving the design.
Application and sample checks
Define finished dimensions, casting material and critical surfaces first. Record production variables and reassess approval whenever the material or master changes; an earlier sample does not automatically validate a revised process.
